Not a lot to report over the last 24 hours. The most significant feature was crossing the halfway point, so we are now on the home run, with an ETA of Saturday 10th. The wind is constant round the 20 kn mark, and we are hard on the wind. 1100nm to windward is a first for both of us.
To celebrate the halfway mark, it was homemade chocolate cake (baked on board by Bob) and ice cream, and tonight will be a delicious stew of pork and prunes, thank you Elaine!
It has been cloudy all day, and a further drop in temperature. The days run was 147nm, and we now have 504 nm to sail to the Bay of Islands.
