The wind has dropped slightly since yesterday afternoon and we are experiencing very pleasant sailing conditions in bright sunshine. Well established is also our nightly watch routine. With Janet, our third able crew member on board, we each get 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep plus maybe a snooze during the day to keep us going. Afternoon siestas could be interrupted though by the call of ‘fish’ and on Day 5 we caught a mahi mahi (dolphin fish). Despite feasting on our catch, fridge and freezer are still brim-full and we have not had the line out since.
The last two days’ runs have been an impressive 186nm and 182nm. Just over 2000nm to go! We altered our clocks today to GMT -7.
