St Kitts to Grenada – A blog in 5 parts! Part 5

Part 5 – 100 nm round trip

We spent the next 10 days taking Andrew and Annie to our favourite anchorages in The Grenadines, going as far north as Tobago Cays. On the itinerary were St George’s and a great day sail up the leeward side of Grenada to Sandy Island. Though we enjoyed again the beautiful scenery and run ashore, snorkelling activity was curtailed here by the sudden infestation of minute jellyfish that feasted on all of us!

Cheers!

From there we set off to return to Grenada via Carriacou with a very pleasant and fast beam reach down the windward side of the islands. On our return to Prickly Bay Andrew did an excellent job in removing the steering gear for repair, which was planned, but not at that point! We spent their last full day having a relaxing lunch at the Aquarium Restaurant, on nearby Magazin Beach where a walk along the sand and swim were obligatory! Dinner at the Red Crab Restaurant in the evening was superb, and a fitting conclusion to their holiday.

Nightfall in Grenada

And finally food for thought …… how about doing an Atlantic crossing in one of these?
