Sunday in Kinsale

Lighthouse on Old Head of Kinsale

Alan joined us last night for a week’s sailing to Dublin!  He was treated to a feast of mackerel caught earlier that afternoon by Bob while we were sailing along at 4 knots (more or less the ideal speed for catching mackerel!).  That was before we just had to find the craich in town.

What a catch!

This morning we’ve spent on organising the website, catching up on emails, filling up with water (the tank holds 200 gallons!) and provisioning again (remember sailors need thousands of calories).  All this interspersed with copious amounts of coffee.  But now it’s beer time!  Cheers!
